The Big Pink Youth Dialogue: Shaping the Future of Women’s Health

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to break out the pink! The Big Pink Youth Dialogue is fast approaching, and this online webinar is set to be a game-changer in the world of women’s health. Whether you’re located in the bustling city or nestled in a remote village, you can participate in this groundbreaking event that promises to educate and raise awareness about women’s health issues in developing countries.

The main objective of this event is to enlighten people about the struggles that women face in accessing reproductive health services in less developed countries. Many women in these regions lack basic information about their reproductive health, leading to complications during childbirth and other health issues. This webinar aims to provide the education and support needed to empower these women to take charge of their health.

Additionally, the Big Pink Youth Dialogue is a platform for passionate people to come together and make a difference in the world. It is an opportunity for individuals who believe in the power of teamwork and collaboration to share ideas and work towards a common goal. This event is a call to action for anyone who wants to be a part of something bigger than themselves and contribute to the betterment of society.

The event will feature distinguished speakers and experts in the field of women’s health who will share their experiences and knowledge on the subject matter. Attendees will be able to engage in meaningful discussions and gain valuable insights into how they can support women’s health initiatives in developing countries.

This is just the beginning of a larger movement towards improving women’s health globally. Attendees will have the opportunity to get involved with more projects and initiatives that are dedicated to supporting women’s reproductive health. This event is not just a one-off, but rather the start of a continuous effort to make a positive impact on the lives of women in underprivileged areas.

The Big Pink Youth Dialogue is a must-attend event for anyone who cares about women’s health and wants to make a difference in the world. It is a chance to connect with like-minded individuals, learn from experts in the field, and contribute to a noble cause. So mark your calendars and get ready to paint the town pink!

The Vision of the Big Pink Dialogue Event

The vision of this project is to raise awareness and facilitate conversation about women’s health and well-being. Our goal is to create a safe space for conversation, while workshopping and creating some action through advocacy.

Last year, the Big Pink Youth Dialogue was launched on October 11, 2022 to celebrate the International Day of the Girl. Since 2012, the United Nations marks this day to promote girls’ human rights, highlights gender inequalities that remain between girls and boys, and addresses the various forms of discrimination and abuse suffered by girls around the world (https://UNWomen.org).

The previous forum included approximately 150 participants from seven countries and regions in the global south, the impressive set of panelists was hosted by the RMCH Rotary Action group and the Apollo Shine Foundation, with the engagement of the WHO/Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (https://PMNCH.who.int).

The presenters included Rotarians, Rotaract members, advocates, physical and mental health practitioners, and strong and empowered girls and teachers representing a number of schools affiliated with the Apollo Shine Foundation. Panelists came from India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Nigeria, Australia, Tanzania and the United States. Dr. Indira Jayakumar, the director of the Apollo Shine Foundation, provided thoughtful moderation.
